Tea Partiers Need Their Coffee
In recent months, I've been to several events - really good ones - sponsored by the new Tea Party movement. This is a large and growing movement and we are lucky to have a great local chapter which I'm proud to say is very active and passionate about liberty.
As an old, somewhat jaded Ron Pauler, it's nice to see that our movement – the combined movement of all freedom lovers and truth seekers – has a new ally in this battle. I call upon you, my fellow Knights of the Olde Guarde of Liberty, to embrace these tenderfoot warriors and help them continue along the path they have discovered. Don't talk down to them. That will only serve to put them on the defensive and you will lose this golden opportunity to help them with their continuing education towards an understanding of what it takes to achieve true freedom.
Yes, we must – carefully and respectfully – apprise them of the facts that:
Beck and Huckabee ain't their pals.
The GOP Leadership ain't their ally.
My contention is that the way to go about doing this is not to chastise and ridicule them, but rather to politely inform and befriend them; which will eventually lead to them gaining a better understanding of the machinations of the many facets of COINTELPRO utilized by the government, their lackeys in the mainstream media and the false prophets that have arisen to counter the true liberty movement.
These Tea Partiers have just recently awakened from a mainstream-driven slumber. Serve them some coffee! They'll continue their awakening and come around, one sip at a time, to a better understanding; your and my understanding. They just need some breathing room. Everybody takes the Red Pill in their own way and at their own pace (just like we did as well, lest we forget!)
Hand 'em those DVDs. Let 'em borrow your dog-eared copy of The Creature from Jekyll Island. Mention tidbits of the real truth in casual conversation. Bear in mind that the Tea Partiers have been smart enough to realize that something is awry with our government and the economy and that the elites in the international banking cartels are the root cause. They'll put two-and-two together soon enough. They just need help learning about how our government really works, what the elites in control believe in and how these globalists intend to carry out their nefarious agenda. That's where we come in. That is our job!

Yes Ed, your name came up in a discussion tonight with a local 9/12 organizer. Each group is very different, and actually following the model that I wanted the TxLC to follow over a year ago.
But, we cannot go in shouting at them to understand. be patient, and let them evolve. You are right, add a little bit each time. I have given them Rules for Radicals many months ago so that they could understand how the parties would try to work against them. It's like dealing with my teenagers. There is a lot of anger, they know everything, and they want change, now. Maturity comes, and if you are patient, they grow into wise adults.
The work with the community emergency preparedness is great! This will bring lots of different groups together. They are "Thinking Locally, Thinking Liberty, and Making things happen!"
Everyone just needs to be patient, and watch out for the bad folks who will turn the raucus teenager in the wrong direction.
Amen! That's one reason I jumped at the chance to organize the tea party in my area, no one else was doing it and I saw low hanging fruit, ripe for the picking! I've been feeding them babyfood since last April. But am sometimes stumped about how to proceed with more chunks. Or frustrated that I wish I could speed them along but am afraid I'll lose them and not have the opportunity at all. One thing I do is send links to things on Lew Rockwell or CFL once in a while. If they are curious, they'll find more while they are there.
